The last festival of the old year. We celebrate with the very best of our best in abandon.

Fasnachts, pączkis, malasadas, blynai, laskiaispulla, vastlakukkel, fastlagsbulle, semla, faworki, blini, pancakes, sausage, pea soup, salted pork and peas.

For it’s tomorrow the pierced, dismembered, scattered and buried body of the new god …the living gift of the old; begins it’s allotted time beneath the earth.

Tubers, seeds, corms and stems …there is little to do but wait in reverence and introspection in order not to disturb the mysterious marriage of forces beneath the soil that will bring rebirth and the vitality of new life.
